Lily loves Brian

There are no ifs ands or buts about it. Lily loves her big brother Brian. And it only took her eight or so months to warm up to him, (along with the rest of the world except for moi).

These days Brian has been showing up at our house under the guise of wanting to see us*, and then spends an hour wrapped up in a little Brianlily ball nogginizing her to the brink of nuzzledom.

I find it touching, so much so that I usually forgive him for washing his laundry one item at a time.

*All of us, not just Lily

  1. So sweet. But he looks even more enamored of HER...

And what's up with this laundry thing? My daughter's a "one outfit at a time" gal, too - in an extra-huge capacity washer and dryer! Yipes.

The age spread here is even more dramatic than in our household. Mine are eight years apart.

  2. How cool to have a big big brother! I have a brother who is 13 years younger than me and just LOVED it!

  3. I don't get it Holly. It's like they are afraid their clothing will cross-contaminate. And they call US weird!

Marie, how cool! It's almost like an Uncle relationship, but way cool. Joe just loves his big brothers too.

  4. Omgosh, she is just too stinkin' cute. How many times have I told you that?

BTW - did you do something to your blog recently? Your text looks bigger. Is it just me?

  5. Thanks, Andy! And yes, I changed the theme to a standard 3-column fluid. I'm a sucker for a fluid theme. The post column was too small on my old theme and it was driving me batty!

  6. Here I am looking at the Lily and Brian photos again! I'm thinking about popping out another bambino when Noah is 12 or 13 just for that reason! Noah is 9 Noah... hold on let me do the math... I'm counting on my fingers... :)

  7. OK forgive me if I forgot, because I probably did, but I didn't know you had a big age difference in your children like me. Mine are 12 years apart.

I love that they get along so well! It makes me cry if I think about it for more than a few minutes.

  8. I didn't know that, Connie! I have two stepsons - Brian, 22 and Dennis, 17. The age difference is wild, but so far it's been fun. :)
