St Paddy's Day Remembered

How artsy fartsy does that sound? In truth, it's more the latter.

My Mom came over and helped to watch the kids while I packed. She made us a fabulous dinner of corned beef and cabbage. Now that I know how good it is I will make it myself next year! One can only eat so much toast.

Joe's having a difficult time adjusting to the time change. He finally wore himself out and took a nap.

He's become obsessed with applesauce baby food as of late.

Basking in the afterglow of a good dinner.

I think Lily had a bite of carrot!

The following day, (which will probably irritate the heck out of her because she went to so much trouble), the kids' St. Paddy's Day presents from Godmommy Gina arrived! It was so wonderful that the package arrived when it did. Joe was having an awful day. I think he had a bad dream and woke up upset & never really recovered. He was crying after I put our little Doxie Greta back in the back yard after a visit, and I could see this was the last straw. Dennis reminded me that the package arrived! Thank Goodness it was there. It perked Joe up and made for a great evening. See how happy you made them? The gifts were wonderful and so thoughtful. Thanks, Gina! We love you! xo

  1. Geesh, you make some cute babies!

And I'm just going to close my eyes and try to erase the memory of the corned beef/cabbage thing. The sight or taste or smell of it is enough to make me want to run screaming in the opposite direction.

  4. I love Lily's beautiful round head and sweet cheeks!!! She is just so kissable I bet.

Lil guy's adorable too, of course. Applesauce is a great treat. Kelly is going thru a phase of drinking hers.

And maybe that's why we the Irish love our drink so much, all that salt.

    HAPPY SPRING, GIRL!!!

  5. I loved the corned beef and cabbage photo. I didn't get to eat any this year. And it's nice to see someone else who puts carrots in with it. You children are adorable!
