Joe the "Artist"

Usually when our two year old son Joseph awakens before me he comes into our bedroom and gently rouses me in the subtle, patient manner of a two year old. But he doesn't do this every time, apparently. I just uploaded a batch of photos to my computer and was treated to an unexpected grouping that consisted of mostly pure black shots and a few curious spectacles.

Happy Hump Day. All you fly mothers, get on out there and dance. Dance I said, DANCE! :D

  3. Hi, Karen! I'm glad you got a giggle out of it. No doubt you've been through this before with Jourdan. :D

  4. K.M. that's a good take on things. I didn't even think of that! I suppose it could have (and thank goodness wasn't) much, much worse.

Love the title of your latest blog post & can't wait to check it out!

  5. Are you some kind of an athlete? he he he. That last caption caught my interest.

Aha! Holly, there is another supermom in the blogosphere. Heather will give The Flash a run for his money. Throwing the camera, sprinting to Lily, and saving the world (okay, not really). Wow!

  6. Oh, here's where you are!!! I need to change the link on my blogroll...I kept seeing it at the bottom of my list and thinking "how come she's not blogging anymore?"

The pics are adorable....at least he knows how to entertain himself. My kids just sit there and jump on me until I finally get out of bed.

I love the pic of Lily on the chair...the look on her face says it all!!! You better keep a good eye on that one!!

  7. Super Mom in the house indeed Doc Z!

I thought those first two photos were taken by a professional photographer abstracted by using different shades of light and some computer technique, eheheh!

Joe has a good sense of creativity Heather...

  8. Hi Heather,

The wonderful and amazing things a mom could do for her kids! You're awesome - you could fly and dance simultaneously...lol. bravo!

  9. Why do I always get lost and look for the comments at the bottom of the post. I always forget that it's on the side of the post.

Wow! all those suds from hand washing? You got a really clean toddler there ;)

Cute picture of Lily too, made even more interesting by the sight of the mother rushing to take the picture :)

  10. Hey Zorlone, you're on to something! Next time Lily does something foolhardy I'll whistle for Holly! LOL!

  11. Helene, I was too embarrassed to tell you lol - the RSS feed was supposed to keep working or I wouldn't have done it! Lost 2/3 of my subscribers, totally sucks. But glad that you found me. That makes it all okay. :)

  12. You could do it too, Jena! It works better if you're wearing those really tall boots that have goldfish swimming in the platform part. :)

  13. LOL Elmot that's funny! Maybe we should try to sell them for his college fund.

  14. Because every other blog in the world has comments on the bottom of the post. It's not you, it's me!

Joe uses half a thing of soap washing his hands if we don't watch him. He likes to plug up the sink and basically swim in there.

  15. I don't think my kids ever got the camera, but Amanda once cut Megan's bangs [they were 3 & 4 respectively]. The scary part was she did a really good job.

Joe is just being extra helpful in the bathroom. When he's done with his hands you can use the excess to wash the sink area! :)

So, does Lily get the mischievousness from you or Dennis? I bet she stood up just to see the look on your face! They always seem so innocent, but they know what they are doing! heehee

Enjoy every moment; they go by so quickly! {sniff} And next thing you know you have teenagers calling you a smart ass! ;)

Gee, Joe is not even 3 yet? I thought he was almost four, he seems to grown-up I guess.

  19. Joe is quite the photographer. By the way your daughter is too cute.

  20. Joe took a snip out of his hair the other day, Anne. I thought I had all the scissors ensconced in the cabinet above the stove, but he found a pair. Yipes! Isn't it awful when girls do it with their beautiful long hair?

I'm sure Lily gets her mischievous recklessness from her father. SURE of it. ;-)

You are so right, I still can't believe Joe Joe has almost lost all of his chubby babyness. *sniff*

  21. Thanks, Jannie! Maybe we should blow it up and put it on his wall. Why not, eh?

He'll be three in December. He's my first child so I don't have a basis for comparison, but I get told that he looks and acts older. xo

  22. Thank you, Rose! Have a good weekend.

  23. LOL! Yes, the header design is his handiwork. LOL @ "high drama". Oh, how you tickle my funnybone.

  24. Jay, "May his sense of adventure always remain strong." LOVE THAT! Bravo! We gave him the middle name Hunter because we wanted him to always be hunting, searching, and adventuring.

  25. We'll tag team 'em! I was just admiring the utterly mischievous look on Lily's face. "Let's see how your reflexes are today, Mom!" What a SMIRK!
